There are over 30 million kids and teens in America alone with special needs. 30 MILLION! That means millions of families cannot take their children to church because they don’t have adequate programs for their needs. Craig and Samantha Johnson know what that feels like because their son Conner has autism. Enter Lakewood Church in Houston, Texas. The Johnsons soon caught a vision and found themselves creating and launching Champions Club at the mega-church pastored by Joel Osteen and it wasn't long before they were bringing hope and resources to their community and beyond. More and more families with special needs children were coming through the church doors looking for a place that would embrace their children and provide an oasis. 300 new families with special needs kids joined the church within just 6 months and now Champions Club boasts over 65 locations around the world! Finally, they had found a place they could call "home." Host 9-time Emmy winner David Sams sits down with Joel Osteen, Craig and Samantha Johnson and the volunteers that shine the spotlight on special needs. Learn how you can start a Champions Club at your church and about Craig's book, "Champion" at ChampionsClub.org. Featuring life coach to the stars Tim Storey.
Lakewood Church is set to receive the 1st ever Contagious Influencers Award for the creation and implementation of the game-changing Champions Club with over 65 locations worldwide.
